Connie Schultz is an American author and Journalist who is the wife of Sherrod Brown.

Connie Schultz started her career at press "The Cleveland Plain Dealer."After her husband's Senate Campaign, she returned to Plain Dealer in January 2007.

On September 19, 2011, Schultz again resigned from The Plain Dealer. Wrote a note to colleagues, "In recent weeks, it has become painfully clear that my freedom, both professionally and personally, is limited only if I no longer write for the newspaper covering my husband's Senate race daily possible."

Her first book, Life Happens: And Other Unavoidable Truths, a collection of his previously published columns, was published in 2006.

Her second book, His Lovely Wife: A Memoir from the Woman Beside the Man, journaled his experiences on the Campaign. The trial was released in 2007. 

Schultz's third book, a novel, was published in June 2020. This book explores three generations of women in rural Northeast Ohio and the stories that collectively shaped their lives.

She writes a column called "The View" for the parade and contributes to the online political blog The Huffington Post. On July 13, 2009, she appeared on CBS' The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

In June 2021, She became an opinion columnist for USA Today. Her weekly print columns are syndicated through Creators Syndicate.

Sherrod Brown married Larke Recchi in 1979 and divorced in 1987, and they had two children. 

During their divorce proceedings, Ritchie obtained a restraining order restraining Brown from harassing or annoying her and "causing bodily harm." 

In a supporting affidavit, she said that she had been "in fear for the safety and well-being of myself and our children due to physical violence and abusive nature" and that Brown had "intimidated, pushed, shoved and bullied" her on several occurrences.

Sherrod Brown's career started during his senior year in college when a local Democratic leader recruited Brown to run for the Ohio state assembly. 

Brown had also served as a state representative in Ohio from 1974 to 1982. At the time of his election to the Ohio House, he was the youngest person elected to that body. 

In 1982, Brown Anthony J. Celebreze Jr. ran for Ohio Secretary of State. He also won a four-way Democratic primary that included Dennis Kucinich.
