Ron Nirenberg is an American politician and Mayor of San Antonio. He was born on April 11, 1977, in Austin Taxes.

He completed a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University in San Antonio.

The husband of Erika joined the University of Pennsylvania to pursue his master's degree in Arts in Communications.

Ron also worked as a program director at Annenberg Public Center.

Ron worked as general manager for KRTU-FM.

His grandparent moved to the United States before world war second.

He was the candidate for San Antonio City Council for District 8 for two terms.

Ron was elected in an upset victory to represent a district of the San Antonio City Council in 2013.

Nirenberg won the mayoral election in 2017, and on June 21, 2017, he swore as mayor of San Antonio.
     

Ron married Erika Prosper in 2001 and shared a son. They recently celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary.

The couple met each other when Ron was at the University of Pennsylvania and Erika was in graduate school, where she was assigned to guide Ron for a weekend.

Erika also shared that she was not interested in dating him. Ron also said that it was a tough challenge to convince Erika to go on a date with him.

At first, she did not hesitate to reject him. She agreed if Ron cut his long hair and ditched his bell-bottom pant.

She thinks he will not, but he shows up with his new haircut and regular clothes, and the rest is history.

Erika Prosper spends most of the time working with her parent in the field of Taxes. She used to dig onion from the ground.

Her parent was a farmer, so they often moved where an agricultural job was available. So she was raised by her grandmother, Abundia.

Erika's school counselor approached her stepfather when she was 15. They request that he allow Erika to finish school before returning to the fields.

 After that, she was able to summer jobs and have different home life too.

When she turned 17, she was placed in foster care. Loving couple Jonah and Pat fostered her and later adopted her when she was 23.

Erika refers to them as her parent because their home is a safe place to return.

She grew up in poverty, so from age five, she was doing a lot of work. She also said that school was more like a vacation to her.

She used to chew her fingernails so that her friend would not notice any dirt on her nail and discoloration made by onion juice.

She has also worked as a chairwoman at the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Erika worked as a Senior Director of Customer Insight in H-E-B. Currently, she is serving as the First lady of San Antonio.
