Yes, Alex Guarnaschelli is back in the kitchen competing against America's best chefs. Alex returned to the show on 1 August 2022.

According to her official website, alexguarnaschelli, Guarnaschelli is a chef, TV host, and native of New York.

Alex operates the 19-year-old new-American restaurant "Butter" in midtown Manhattan and makes guest appearances on numerous Food Network shows like Iron Chef America, Chopped (as a judge), Supermarket Stakeout, and The Kitchen.

She is an American chef, cookbook author, and television broadcaster born on June 20, 1969. Before it closed, she held the role of senior chef at The Darby restaurant and presently occupies it at the Butter restaurant in New York City. 

Guarnaschelli studied cuisine for a long time in France. The debut cookbook by Guarnaschelli was published in 2013.

Old-School Comfort Food: The Way I Learned to Cook is a collection of the author's favorite recipes that she has adapted from her professional career for the home while also sharing personal stories.

Alex Guarnaschelli left The Kitchen after she ended her relationship with Michael Castellon. She ended her engagement in February 2022.

After their marriage eventually ended, Guarnaschelli confirmed in June 2020 that she was engaged to Chopped champion chef Michael Castellon, who had proposed to her over the weekend of June 19–20 on her birthday.

Variety reports that the renowned chef Alex Guarnaschelli has reportedly agreed to a new, exclusive contract with Discovery's Food Network.

The agreement would cover initiatives for daytime and primetime shows and the cable outlet's linear and digital growth. The deal is the most recent in a string of new contracts that Discovery and various performers on its talent list have reached.

According to the agreement, Guarnaschelli will co-host "The Kitchen," continue to be a judge on "Chopped," and produce new episodes of the digital series "Fix Me A Plate," which chronicles the chef's behind-the-scenes experiences at some of her favorite restaurants. 

She started her career in 2020 as a co-host on The Kitchen show. Following the breakup with her ex-fiancé, chef Michael Castellon, she took a leave of absence from her career in the food industry in February 2020.

According to Food Network, she returned to the kitchen in August 2022 with the debut of her program, Alex vs. America.

Alex Battles Chefs From Across The Country In Alex vs America

Alex spent a full year at the low-paying eatery An American Place in 1991. She received guidance from Larry Forgione, the father of Iron Chef Marc Forgione.

She worked in many restaurants in France, New York, and Los Angeles, including Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. She served as executive chef at Daniel Boulud's self-titled restaurant and Joachim Splichal's Patina before taking the helm at Butter. 

Guarnaschelli worked as the executive chef at The Darby before it closed. She serves as the Museum of Food and Drink's chair of the culinary council.

In the show Alex vs. America, Chef Alex competes against three other chefs in two rounds of cooking, and anyone may be eliminated after the judges' blind tasting. The chefs from diverse places love cooking and desire to beat Alex and take home the $15,000 top prize.

Each episode is hosted by chef Eric Adjepong and features three elite chefs competing against one another and Alex throughout two rounds. Each contestant has a unique talent they have honed over many hours in their kitchens.

The ability to defeat one of the country's most formidable chefs will be tested.
