Aileen Cannon is a Colombian- American lawyer and jurist who married Josh Lorence on June 7, 2008.

On April 29, 2020, President Donald Trump nominated Cannon to the seat vacated by Judge Kenneth Marra. On May 21, 2020, she was appointed to send the United States Senate.

Josh Lorence and Aileen Cannon dated for five years before getting married. Josh proposed to her on vacation in Athens.

His legal team requested a shorter sentence because he was diagnosed with cancer. So, he was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

3. The DOJ recognized her for her work on a Forth Amendment Appeal.

She received a certificate of appreciation for her outstanding contribution to the mission.

She worked on a Fourth Amendment appeal filed by a defendant in her district. She was an appellant council for the United States at the time in 2019.

The defendant, Reginald Gibbs, filed an appeal to suppress the evidence of a firearm seized by Miami-Dade police in a traffic stop.

She then presented oral arguments in the case and wrote the government's brief. The defendant's conviction was affirmed.
