Lee Zeldin was born into the world in East Meadow, New York, the child of Meryl Schwartz and David Zeldin.
He was grown up in Suffolk County, New York, and transferred from William Floyd High School in Mastic Beach, New York, in 1998.
Zeldin received a four-year certificate in political theory from SUNY University at Albany in 2001.
He achieved his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School in May 2003. In 2004, he had admitted to the New York State Bar.
Political Career
Lee Michael Zeldin received an Army ROTC commission as a second lieutenant and served in the United States Army from 2003 to 2007, previously in the Military Intelligence Corps.
Zeldin also served as an examiner in the Judge Advocate General's Corps and as a strategic justice.
In 2007, he progressed through the well-trained Army Reserves, where he has promoted to lieutenant colonel.
In 2010, Zeldin ran for the New York State Senate's third district, challenging Democratic incumbent Brian X. Foley.
In 2012 he was re-elected to a second two-year term, defeating Democrat Frances Zenko with 56% of the vote.
