Newt Gingrich's complete name is Newton Leroy Gingrich. Newt was born in 1943 on 17 June in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Gingrich is an American politician and author. Newt also served as the 50th speaker of the United States House of Representatives.

Newt's father's name was Newton Searles McPherson; later, he was adopted by his stepfather Robert Gingrich.

His mother's name was Kathleen Gingrich. Newt's stepfather was an Army officer who served in Korea and Vietnam.

Newt graduated from Baker High School in Columbus, Georgia, in 1961.

Jackie had uterine cancer. Newt visited her at the hospital after her surgery in September 1980. 

She died at age 77 in 2013 in Atlanta.
