Gingrich is an American politician and author. Newt also served as the 50th speaker of the United States House of Representatives.
Newt's father's name was Newton Searles McPherson; later, he was adopted by his stepfather Robert Gingrich.
His mother's name was Kathleen Gingrich. Newt's stepfather was an Army officer who served in Korea and Vietnam.
