Political Career of Marilyn Mosby husband: Nick J. Mosby
Nick J. Mosby's first attempt for office was in the 2007 Democratic ordinary for the open seat in Baltimore District 11 city council seat.
Out of seven competitors, he placed 4th in the election with 10.45% of the vote. William H. Cole IV received more votes, followed by Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley and congressman Elijah Cummings.
After finishing 4th place in the 2007 city council election, Mosby ran again for the City's 7th district seat.
From 2008-2010, he served as a Baltimore City Democratic Central Committee member. Mosby defeated Conway and another competitor in the Democratic primary with a 51% share of the vote.
Despite the Write-in Challenge launched by the Conaway, Nick Mosby still won in the general election with 76.13% of the vote.
He helps Mayor Rawlings-Blake to approve her budget cut proposal against the amendments of the Council President.
The husband of Marilyn Mosby voted against a proposal to change the city charter to require biannual audits of city agencies.
In 2012, he questioned the mayor's appointment of Anthony Batts to head the Baltimore Police Department.
Due to Rawlings-Blake's budget, 20 city recreation centers were shut down. Regarding this also, Mosby has spoken in favor of their continued operation.
In 2014, he stated the campaign partnered with close to 30 personal trainers to provide free access to fitness and cooking classes.
Later in September 2014, he supported a special election to replace any other vacant seats.
Mosby voted to increase the city's limited wages to $15, but the bill failed to pass the city council.
