Susan McKee Husband Governor Dan McKee's
Dan McKee, or Daniel J. McKee, is an American politician and businessman serving as the 76th governor. From 2015 to 2021, he served as 69th lieutenant governor.
Dan worked as mayor of Cumberland twice, from 2000 to 2004, and later, in 2014, McKee was elected lieutenant governor.
His family has owned and set off a small business in northern Rhode Island for over 100 years.
He did his intermediate from Cumberland High School and received a Bachelor of Arts from Assumption College in Worcester.
McKee has spent his adult life prescribing for positive change in Rhode Island and improving the state's economic situation.
Dan served as Chair of the National Lieutenant Governors Association and a member of its Education Committee.
As a businessman, he ran a health and fitness business for over 30 years and was also a basketball coach.
In 2009 and 2010, McKee helped organize mayors and education advocates to approve a new education funding policy.
He was a part of the board of directors for the Cumberland-Lincoln for over 25 years as the old president of the executive board and chair of the endowment committee.
