Wynette married Euple Byrd, who was five years older than her when she was 17. The wedding took place one month before Wynette's high school graduation.

In 1965, the pair split up. In 1965, after relocating to Nashville, Wynette met her second husband, Don Chapel. They were not married until 1967.

Tina is the youngest daughter of Tammy. Tina was born three months early and only weighed 2 pounds and 3 ounces when Wynette gave birth to her.

Tina was isolated in the hospital for 17 days after being diagnosed with spinal meningitis four months later.

Jaclyn and Georgette have worked to maintain their mother's influence after her passing. After their mother's passing, each daughter penned a biography about her.
