Comedian Tom Parry credited his wife Jane as the inspiration for his new Christmas film, "Your Christmas or Mine?".

It is the first film that Tom Parry wrote and created. While he is known for his work in various comic settings, this is his first time dabbing into the art of writing holiday films.

The movie was first streamed on Amazon Prime Video on December 2, 2022, because of the Christmas season. It is a Christmas rom-com, or one can also refer to it as a Brit-com, as the movie is heavy on the British background.

The movie stars many known faces, including Asa Butterfield, best known for his role in "Sex Education", and The Boy In Stripped Pajamas. Similarly, Harriet Walter from Law and Order, Alex Jenning from The Crown, and Daniel Mays from The Line of Duties also star in the movie.

Opinions regarding whether Parry's first attempt to lift his viewer's holiday spirit seems to be mixed, but he certainly had a good experience with the film.

Tom Parry's Wife Jane Helped Him Write His First Christmas Movie

Tom Parry and his wife Jane were both involved in the making of the movie. Tom admitted that she inspires him everyday.

However, he prefers not to disclose much information regarding his personal life. His cheerful persona has been able to evade the public's prying eyes all this time.

The details regarding his relationship status were also unclear until he mentioned that he had just gotten married during an interview in 2019, according to The Sun.

Fans haven't had much luck hearing about his wife and family even after that announcement, but on a more recent note, he did thank his wife, Jane, for being his inspiration for his latest movie.

He publicly credited his wife for inspiring him to write his first Christmas movie. With his film "Your Christmas or Mine?" he has opted to go with the classic rom-com vibes.

But as the Christmas movies are lining right up, one after another, fans seem to need more clarification about how to differentiate Parry's latest release from other cliched ones.

With Sex Education star Asa Butterfield and the theatre star Cora Kirk on the lead, his story revolves around a young couple on a Christmas break, dealing with the fact that they will be spending Christmas apart.

The movie has scored a rating of 6.4 out of 10 on IMDb. While the fans of Asa may enjoy the film, the rest of the viewers are obstructed by cliches more often than not.

While the cast can be seen attempting to make the story work as best as it can, it can be spotted slipping away and not lingering on the same emotion for too long.

The movie is enjoyable for some people, but the rest have their bars raised for a good Christmas movie. It also depends on the viewer's choice almost entirely.
