Ann Lamont was born in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin; her parents are Betsy Ann and Carroll B. Huntress, Jr.
Ann completed her bachelor's degree in political science from Stanford University in 1979. Lamont Oak is a founder and managing partner at HC/FT.
In 2006, The New York Times described her as "one of the most successful women in the elite venture capital field." Also, in 2007, she reached number 50 on Forbes' Midas list.
She was the first recipient of the National Venture Capital Association's Award for Excellence in Healthcare Innovation.
Anne was honored with the Healthcare Private Equity Association's 2017 Russell L. Carson Lifetime achievement in healthcare investing.
Anne is a crucial participant in the Health and Human Services Undersecretary's Innovation and Investment Summit (DSIIS).
