American politician Rusty Bowers has been happily married to his wife, Donetta Bowers, for a long time. The couple shares seven children, including three daughters and four sons.

Current Speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives Russell Bowers, popularly known as Rusty, is a member of the Republican Party representing District 25. He took office on January 12, 2015, and his current term will end on January 9, 2023.

Bowers began serving as the State House speaker in 2019. He previously served in the Arizona House from 1993 to 1997 and the Arizona Senate from 1997 to 2001, representing the 21st legislative district. 

The Trump supporter had testified before the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th attack on the US Capitol. He openly said that there was no proof of electoral fraud that would require rejection of the results of the 2020 United States Presidential Election in Arizona.

Moreover, he testified to the January 6 commission on June 21, 2022. Bowers also defeated a bill in the Arizona House of Representatives that would have empowered the state legislature to overrule the results of an Arizona presidential election. Bowers received the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award for his efforts in fighting attempts to invalidate the 2020 election results. He was one of five recipients chosen for the 2022 award.

Rusty Bowers' wife Donetta Bowers is a philanthropist and social rights activist of American origin. She is a native of Arizona and presently resides in Mesa, Arizona with her husband.

Judging by the pictures, she appears to be in her mid-sixties and might have an age gap of three to two years with her husband.

Rusty's significant other has not revealed her personal life to the public. She came into the limelight due to her husband's fame as a renowned politician best known for being a supporter of Trump. The pair share a special bond and have been together for a long time.

Rusty supports her wife in her career and likewise, Donetta is very supportive and loving of her husband and his career. They are a family of nine and are very close to each other. Unfortunately, Bowers was struck with tragic news when their daughter Kacey Rae Bowers, died on January 28, 2021, after a lengthy illness. Kacey was married and had a twenty-year-old son named Lorenzo Bowers. 

She suffered a severe illness but the exact name of the illness is still unknown. Rusty mentioned that his daughter had been suffering a serious illness for some time before her untimely demise. She was cared for by her family members, and she spent almost all of her time bedridden attempting to recover as soon as possible. Unfortunately, she left this world, and her family mourns for her.

American politician Rusty Bowers follows the Christianity religion; he is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Moreover, he spent two years as a Mormon missionary in Mexico. Former President Trump attacked the Arizona state House Speaker, accusing him of being a Mormon, a religious community that celebrates Christian beliefs. Trump reportedly accused him of making his decisions based on his religion.

Rusty told members of Congress that he refused to participate in a scheme to certify a slate of fake electors for Donald Trump following the 2020 election because of his faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and his respect for the United States Constitution.

Bowers described a phone discussion with Trump and the former president’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani, during which they claimed that the election was tainted by fraud. Russell further added that he could not violate his oath to the Constitution and remain faithful to his beliefs.
