Sue Holderness Husband Mark Piper
Sue Holderness and husband Mark Piper have been married for 33 years. Sue and Mark are parents of two children Freddie and Harriet Piper.
Mark was born in January 1949 to his parents, Frederick Piper and Joan Riley. His mother was a director, and his father was an actor.
He started as a stage manager in 1984 at the age of 35. He then received an Arts Council bursary to train as a director before joining the staff at Theatre Royal, Windsor, in 1985.
During his time at the theatre, he was responsible for selecting plays and casting actors, managing the theatre's overall atmosphere, and keeping the staff satisfied. In addition to his executive duties, Piper also directs many of the "home-grown" productions at the theatre.
The theatre, which is the only unsubsidized theatre in the country that produces its plays rather than just hosting tours, is run in partnership with Bill Kenwright and serves as a starting point for several of Kenwright's significant productions, some of which go on tour or end up in the West End.
Later in his career, he balanced his roles as director and financial manager of the theatre. Still, he especially enjoys working with actors and strives to create a comfortable, convenient, and efficient environment for them to work in.
According to BBC, he believes that actors are the most influential people in the theatre and that love for actors is essential for anyone working in the theatre industry.
