Politician Mary Peltola is happily married to her beloved husband, Gene Peltola. The pair have been together for quite a long time and are living happily with their kids.

Gene serves as the director of the Alaska Regional office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. He was in the room with her wife and her campaign staff when they learned of her victory. It was also the day Mary turned forty-nine.

Mary Peltola has four children, two with her first husband, Jonathan Kapsner, and two with her second, Joe G Nelson.

Gene served as the chief executive of the organization for twenty-four years, from January 1990 to January 2014. He is very kind and supportive and Mary embraced her beloved husband on the day she won Alaska's special US House race.

Mary is a tribal member of the Orutsararmiut Native Council. She was born on August 31, 1973, in Anchorage, Alaska, and is forty-nine years old. She is the daughter of Ward Sattler, who moved to Alaska to work as a teacher and pilot, and Elizabeth "LizAnn" Piicigaq Williams.

Her parents raised her in the communities of Kwethluk, Tuntutuliak, Platinum, and Bethel. She traveled with her father, Wardm around Alaska campaigning for Congressman Don Young. During college, Mary worked as a salmon technician and herring for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

She attended the University of Northern Colorado and studied elementary education from 1991 to 1994. Mary then joined the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 1994 to 1995. She also took courses at the University of Alaska Southeast (1995-1997) and the University of Alaska Anchorage (1997-1998).

Mary is seeking full-term reelection in the 2022 United States House of Representatives election in Alaska. She received 36.8% of the votes in the primary, advancing to the general election in the first place.

The formal tribal court judge is scheduled to be sworn in as the U.S. representative of Alaska on September 13, 2022.
